Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work routine, operated in a 100% remote setting, while also being integrated with a detox center environment. You’ll engage with clients primarily during business hours, Monday through Friday, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery. The dynamic nature of the role requires capability in handling multiple cases simultaneously, making use of telehealth methodologies and digital documentation systems.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Function as an Independent Contractor, managing your caseload effectively and in alignment with organizational protocols.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of senior clients’ mental health and emotional needs, applying evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate counseling and psychotherapy sessions tailored to adults or seniors, creating a safe space for open dialogue and emotional exploration.

• Research and connect clients with relevant resources and community support systems to help manage their conditions and enhance their overall quality of life.

• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with regulatory standards using electronic health record systems.

• Communicate with family members and other healthcare providers involved in the clients’ care to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on clients transitioning from detox programs, primarily older adults who may be dealing with substance use issues, mental health conditions, and other related challenges. Understanding the unique needs of this demographic is paramount, making empathy and patience vital qualities for successful engagement.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required, ensuring a foundational understanding of both mental health principles and therapeutic interventions.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of California.

• Strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
