Finance Manager

Finance Manager – Sports New York, NY | On-site, five days a week We're partnering with a global sports and entertainment company on the search for a Finance Manager to own the P&L and day-to-day financial operations of its sports agency business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an exciting role, sitting at the center of the business. You will work working closely with agents, consultants and senior leadership across every division. This is a fast-paced, hands-on, high-volume environment, and best suited for energetic and detail oriented individuals! What you'll be doing Take ownership of month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations, across every sports division Keep deferred revenue schedules accurate so revenue lands in the right period against the right contract Reconcile commission and bonus payouts, and build P&L views by sport, client and deal type Run billing for a roster of 300+ clients on a twice-yearly cycle, from invoice creation through to collections Keep AR clean and current: know where every invoice stands, what's outstanding, and what's been paid Be the point of contact for advisors and consultants on remittances, disputes, 1099s and reconciliations Build weekly cash flow schedules and support rolling forecasts Produce recurring reporting cut by sport, client, booking type and revenue category, and run the AR review cadence across divisions Own the contract data: deal terms, commission structures and revenue milestones across salaries, bonuses and brand deals, tracked accurately in internal systems Handle union reporting and related compliance documentation Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 5-8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with real depth in AR, accrual accounting, reconciliations and close Advanced Excel, and hands-on experience with a major ERP system Background in a sports agency, talent management, entertainment, or another high-volume agency environment is a strong plus Compensation $125,000 to $135,000 base, plus bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr
