Physician Assistant - Surgery

DutiesHelpThe Physician Assistant for Surgery will support Surgical Service for care of adult and geriatric Veterans at the VA Boston Healthcare System. Duties will include, but are not limited to:Provide pre-op evaluation (H&P, risk screening, documentation).Order basic diagnostic tests; review results with provider.Participate in inpatient consults and routine post-op rounds.Assist in procedures and OR cases as approved in privileges.Coordinate discharge planning, patient/family education, and follow-up scheduling.Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, case management, rehabilitation, and ancillary services.Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, Days EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.
