Manager, Finance Technology Application Support

We are seeking an experienced Finance Technology Manager to lead application support and optimization for an enterprise Oracle Finance environment. This is a hands-on leadership role combining team management, Oracle Finance expertise, production support, business partnership, and technology improvement initiatives. The manager will oversee internal team members and managed service resources supporting Oracle Fusion Finance applications and related financial processes. This individual will be responsible for maintaining reliable day-to-day operations while advancing enhancements, releases, automation, and broader Finance technology initiatives. This is a working-manager position. The successful candidate must be comfortable personally engaging in complex Oracle Finance production issues and escalations rather than operating solely as a people leader. Schedule: Hybrid, with a preference for four days onsite and remote work on Fridays. Approximately 10% travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Finance Technology application support professionals, including internal staff and managed service resources.
• Provide hands-on guidance for Oracle Finance troubleshooting, production incidents, escalations, and root-cause resolution.
• Maintain application stability and proactively address risks that could disrupt Finance operations.
• Support and optimize Oracle financial modules, integrations, and related business processes.
• Prioritize production incidents alongside enhancement requests, testing, releases, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand operational needs and convert them into practical technology solutions.
• Oversee third-party vendors and managed service partners, including performance, escalations, accountability, and service delivery.
• Coordinate application upgrades, patches, testing, enhancements, and releases.
• Work with integration teams to resolve interface failures and maintain dependable financial data flows between systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and improved application-support performance.
• Contribute to Finance modernization initiatives involving Accounts Payable technology, Oracle Fusion optimization, Oracle EPM, payment solutions, and other enterprise projects.
• Build productive partnerships across Finance and Technology while serving as a key resource for application support and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience involving enterprise Finance applications, ERP platforms, Finance technology, Oracle applications, or related application-support functions.
• Direct Oracle Finance experience. Oracle Fusion Finance is strongly preferred; substantial Oracle E-Business Suite Financials experience may also qualify.
• Hands-on functional or application-support experience within an Oracle Finance environment; infrastructure-only or end-user support experience is insufficient.
• Working knowledge of Finance processes and Oracle financial modules, particularly General Ledger and Accounts Payable.
• Exposure to additional modules such as Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Projects, Cost Accounting, and/or Cash Management.
• Demonstrated experience leading Finance technology or application-support professionals.
• Ability to function as a hands-on manager and personally participate in complex production troubleshooting and escalations.
• Strong experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and maintaining production stability.
• Experience managing production operations while simultaneously supporting enhancements, testing, implementations, releases, and project delivery.
• Experience managing or partnering closely with third-party application vendors or managed service providers.
• Strong stakeholder-management capabilities across Finance and Technology functions.
• Ability to take ownership of a complex application environment, prioritize competing demands, and proactively drive issues through resolution.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive Oracle Fusion Finance implementation, production support, or optimization experience.
• Experience across multiple Oracle Fusion modules, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Projects, and Cost Accounting.
• Oracle EPM experience, particularly FCCS and ARCS.
• Professional experience within Accounting or Finance in addition to Finance technology.
• Experience supporting major ERP or Finance transformation programs.
• Knowledge of AP automation, OCR/IDR solutions, AI-enabled Accounts Payable technology, or payment modernization.
• Experience leading offshore teams or third-party managed service resources.
• Familiarity with ERP integrations, financial reporting systems, data interfaces, and integration troubleshooting.
• Healthcare or shared-services experience.
• Demonstrated success improving automation, processes, or measurable application-support performance.
• Master's degree in a related discipline.
