Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our clinic in Centreville, VA, where a collaborative environment thrives among our team of healthcare professionals. The office operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work schedule that supports work-life balance. You will work alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients upon their arrival and develop tailored treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions to promote healing and enhance physical functionality.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for personalized attention and superior care.
• Implement comprehensive fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, encouraging them to actively participate in their rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, including referring patients when necessary.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and modifications in care based on evaluation findings.
• Continuously assess treatment outcomes and adjust care plans to facilitate optimal results.
• Engage in patient education to encourage healthier lifestyles and decrease reliance on medications.
• Provide mentorship and support to other team members and ensure adherence to clinic policies and best practices.

The patient population at Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance, seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries and conditions. Our clientele includes athletes aiming to regain peak performance after injuries, as well as patients recovering from surgeries. We are committed to catering to each patient's specific rehabilitation needs, prioritizing their well-being and safety throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Centreville, VA, without any board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing effective therapeutic exercise programs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, and the ability to use this technology efficiently in daily practice.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired, showcasing the ability to manage diverse patient cases effectively.
• A strong background in working with EMR systems to streamline documentation and improve patient scheduling.
• Evidence of continual professional development, whether through courses, certifications, or relevant training workshops.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
