Job Title Academy Equipment Manager Department Soccer – Academy – Colorado Rapids Business Unit KSE Location Commerce City, CO—Dick’s Sporting Goods Park Reports To Equipment Manager Employment Type Full Time – Salary –Exempt Supervisor Position No Application Deadline 08/31/2026 Nature of Work This position is responsible for the overall organization of uniforms and equipment for the Colorado Rapids Academy. Examples of work performed Maintain accurate inventory of all academy training gear, competition gear and field equipment Issue, retrieve and maintain training gear, competition gear and field equipment on an ongoing basis Assist in the daily field setup for training and competition Assist in the packing and preparation for all travel Work with Technical Director and Administrator to coordinate annual adidas and equipment order within budget guidelines Support & assist in Rapids 2/1st Team equipment & training needs. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions Manual labor intensive Work in extreme weather conditions Work unusual hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Frequent travel Qualifications Minimum High School or GED 2+ years’ experience in field Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards. Preferred BS/BA degree in field or related field Background in soccer Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong attention to detail Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy Strong work-ethic and proactive attitude are essential Strong professional presence, accountability, and ability to work independently Ability to adhere to physical demands of training sessions Understanding of inventory and stocking Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle and satisfy professional demands and personalities Ability to create spreadsheets and routine business correspondence using Word and Excel software.
