Fund Operations Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Fund Operations Analyst to join our growing finance & operations team. This is a development-track role designed for early-career professionals who aspire to become future leaders in PE/VC fund operations. You will work side-by-side with senior team members, gaining hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of fund accounting, investor reporting, and capital activities. What You'll Do Assist in daily journal entries, trade booking, and general ledger maintenance for multiple fund entities. Perform bank reconciliations and cash position tracking across fund and management company accounts. Help maintain accurate records of investment transactions, management fees, and fund expenses. Support the quarterly and annual close process by preparing workpapers, accrual schedules, and variance analyses. Assist in the preparation of fund financial statements, NAV packages, and management company reports under the guidance of senior staff. Capital Activities Help calculate and prepare Capital Call and Distribution notices, including investor-level allocation waterfalls. Maintain LP capital account records and respond to routine investor inquiries. Audit & Compliance Support Compile PBC lists and prepare audit support schedules for external auditors. Assist with annual tax information reporting (e.g., Schedule K-1 data preparation) in coordination with tax advisors. Process & Systems Document existing workflows and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Learn and operate fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran, eFront, or similar platforms). Collaborate with investment, legal, and compliance teams on ad-hoc projects. What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MAcc, MSF) is a plus. Experience 0–3 years of relevant experience. Outstanding new graduates with strong internship experience in audit, fund accounting, or financial services are encouraged to apply. Prior exposure to PE/VC, asset management, or Big 4 audit is a strong advantage but not required . Technical Skills Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP); familiarity with investment accounting is a bonus. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling). Experience with fund accounting software is a plus. Working knowledge of partnership accounting or NAV calculation concepts is highly desirable. Personal Attributes Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for numbers. Strong intellectual curiosity—eager to learn the “why” behind every process. Excellent communication skills; comfortable interacting with both internal teams and external service providers. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, resourceful, and team-oriented mindset. Other CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA/CFA is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
