Exciting Opportunity for a Gastroenterologist
Join Our Team: We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and empathetic Physician to fill the role of Gastroenterologist within our healthcare organization. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about serving our Veterans—truly America's Heroes .
Facility Overview: Our healthcare system is currently looking for a Board-Certified Staff Gastroenterologist to enhance the care provided to our Veterans. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity for a faculty appointment in the Gastroenterology Section at a prominent university, engaging in the education and training of fellows, medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals. This is a remarkable opportunity to work in a cutting-edge facility located in a vibrant community, dedicated to improving the health of those who have bravely served our nation.
Position Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage patient conditions effectively, especially in emergency situations.
- Provide specialized care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with the latest gastroenterology standards.
- Perform endoscopic procedures with proficiency.
- Identify and address the specific needs of patients across various age groups.
- Engage in teaching responsibilities, including planning, monitoring, and documenting educational activities for fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Participate in research initiatives, including quality improvement projects, with the potential to contribute to publications.
- Conduct inpatient consultations and perform endoscopy procedures as needed.
The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call duties. There may be options for alternative work schedules, including part-time positions.
