• Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00 am 5:00 pm, with in-hospital call (3:00 pm 7:00 am), Saturday & Sunday 24-hour onsite support
• Hours per Week: Approximately 40 hours
• Employment Type: Contract/Locum
• Licensure/Certifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license, DEA, ACLS preferred
• Experience: Preferably 2+ years in cardiothoracic surgery or hospital-based care

What You'll Do:

• Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Assist in emergency surgeries and procedures
• Take consults and referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
• Harvest veins during cardiac surgery
• Assist in surgical procedures and patient management
• Write prescriptions and coordinate care plans
• Interpret diagnostic tests and order necessary labs
• Document all care accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

What You Need:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio or eligible for license transfer
• Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience, preferably in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery
• Skills in emergency care, surgical assist, vein harvesting, and patient rounding
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively
• Willingness to participate in in-house call and on-call responsibilities
