Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule: 36 hours per week; Day/Eve/Night rotating shifts; Holidays, weekends, on call, and call back as needed.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 17 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• RN License (New York)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PACU experience required; ICU experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide post-operative care for adult patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition during recovery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding recovery processes.
• Respond promptly to any changes in patient condition that may arise during recovery.
• Follow established protocols and documentation procedures for post-anesthesia care.
