Job Summary

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

About the Department

The environment in the Adult Acute Medicine Unit is patient-family-centered, collaborative, and dynamic. We care for adult patients age 18 and older who are being treated for various acute and co-morbid conditions. Our patients are unique because of the complexity of the whole patient/family dynamics in their efforts to balance a healthy state.

Shift

• Full-Time Night Shift - 6:45 pm - 7:15 am (three 12-hour shifts/week)
• Shifts rotate throughout the week
• Note: Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs.
• All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.

What You Need to Qualify

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following:
• Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or
• Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.

Preferred:

• One year of previous experience in a hospital setting
