The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking to hire a f ull-time Vocational Direct Support Professional to provide vocational training, instruction, and supervision in the development and implementation of the Individuals Written Program for the individuals assigned to this program who work out of the Center for Industrial Training (CIT) facility.

CIT is a community-based program whose primary mission is to serve the needs of individuals with vocational challenges. CIT provides training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and other vocational challenges in the tri-county area. Our Vocational Direct Support Professional earn a competitive wage of $16.26/hour. ABOUT THE ARC OF CUMBERLAND AND PERRY COUNTIES

The lack of services for people with disabilities led a group of parents to band together in 1953 to form The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties (CPARC). For decades, children and adults with disabilities were systematically denied educational opportunities, vocational training jobs, housing, and almost every other right and service that people without disabilities took for granted. Today, our staff continues to advocate for people with disabilities; offer tools and training to help families; and ensure that individuals live, work, and play in their community.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED requires. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year work experience in vocational rehabilitation or related field preferred.
• Must possess physical stamina including the ability to lift and carry minimum of 45 pounds and stand for up to seven (7) hours.

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm (40 hours) or Monday-Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm (35 hours). No weekends, or holidays.
