Group Rehabilitation Spine and Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our exceptional healthcare team in New York City. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and treatment modalities. We specialize in helping patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions, primarily accepting private medical insurance. Our team comprises highly skilled professionals, including experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, ensuring collaborative treatment plans tailored to each patient.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our rehabilitation center, with a supportive and engaging atmosphere that fosters teamwork and professional growth. As a Physical Therapist, you will collaborate with fellow practitioners to provide a comprehensive treatment approach, engaging in interprofessional communication to optimize patient outcomes. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand patients' conditions, goals, and limitations, actively working to create individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapy and rehabilitation techniques, seeing 2 to 3 patients per hour to maximize efficiency without compromising care quality.
• Utilize a variety of orthopedic treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Monitor and document each patient's progress accurately, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on evaluation and response to care.
• Educate patients about their conditions and the importance of self-management, encouraging a proactive approach to health and rehabilitation.
• Engage in regular consultations with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment strategy that aligns with patients' overall health goals.
• Implement fitness and wellness programs aimed at enhancing patient strength, flexibility, and overall functionality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice caters to a varied demographic of patients, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, adults managing chronic pain, post-surgical rehabilitation cases, and those desiring to improve their physical function for daily activities. With a focus on orthopedic conditions, you will address issues such as joint pain, post-surgical recovery, and rehabilitation from injuries, ensuring that patients of all ages receive personalized care that empowers them to achieve their wellness goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current New York Physical Therapist License, with no board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong competency in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescriptions.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Success in supervising and guiding physical therapy assistants and communicating effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
