Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler to spearhead data architecture and cloud modernization initiatives for a premier financial services client. This role is highly specialized, sitting at the crossroads of sophisticated investment data, enterprise cloud infrastructure, and the BlackRock Aladdin ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will design, optimize, and scale robust data models within a Snowflake environment, ensuring that complex portfolio, risk, and fixed-income datasets are seamlessly structured for downstream analytics, reporting, and operational excellence.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years of dedicated data modeling experience, explicitly within the Financial Services or Investment Management sectors (strong understanding of equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.).
• Core Systems: Proven, hands-on experience working with the BlackRock Aladdin platform and its underlying data structures/APIs.
• Cloud Platform: Advanced proficiency in Snowflake, including architecture design, data sharing, and performance optimization.
• Modeling Tools: Expert-level command of enterprise modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or SQLDBM.
• Technical Language: Exceptional SQL skills for writing complex analytical queries, data validation scripts, and stored procedures.
• Pipeline Exposure: Familiarity with modern ETL/ELT pipelines and transformation workflows (e.g., dbt, Informatica).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to explain complex technical data models to non-technical business stakeholders.
