We are seeking a Machine Operator – Industrial Sewing / Manufacturing to join an established production company in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on manufacturing position responsible for operating production equipment and industrial sewing machinery to produce Tuflex round slings according to company specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, machine operation, industrial sewing, textile production, fabrication, assembly, rigging products, or a similar production environment . Candidates must be comfortable working with machinery, reading production instructions, handling materials, and maintaining consistent quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and adjust machinery and equipment used to manufacture and sew Tuflex round slings
• Produce products according to manufacturing specifications, production requirements, and quality standards
• Read and interpret production sheets, manufacturing instructions, reports, and related documentation
• Select the appropriate raw materials, hardware, tools, tags, and equipment needed for each production order
• Set up machines and equipment for production and make necessary adjustments during operation
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
• Identify and report equipment problems, material deficiencies, safety concerns, or production issues
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment
• Move, stage, and handle materials throughout the production process
• Follow established inventory procedures and accurately track materials used
• Complete required production reports, forms, and documentation
• Package finished products according to company requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and department standards
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production and quality goals

Requirements:

• Previous experience in machine operation, manufacturing, industrial sewing, production, assembly, fabrication, or a related hands-on environment
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines is highly preferred
• Ability to read and follow production sheets, work instructions, measurements, and manufacturing specifications
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to make basic machine adjustments and identify equipment issues
• Comfortable working with raw materials, hardware, hand tools, and production equipment
• Ability to maintain consistent quality while meeting production goals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Ability to perform physical production work including standing, handling materials, and repetitive tasks
• Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team
• Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean work environment

Preferred Experience:

Experience involving industrial sewing, synthetic webbing, slings, rigging products, textile manufacturing, lifting products, wire rope, straps, harnesses, canvas, upholstery, or similar industrial materials is a strong plus.
