Step into a school-based role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (37.5 hours/week), with part-time considered, and begins as soon as possible through late May 2027. The position is on-site and provides the chance to work primarily in one school, with occasional assignments to a second nearby campus. Your caseload will range around 100 students, including both elementary and secondary levels. Site assignment considers your home location for added convenience.

Your expertise will help transform educational experiences for students, particularly those with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) needs. Demonstrated experience working with AAC devices is highly valued. The district weighs individual skill and background to determine caseload and site assignments, ensuring a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid professional state license for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
• Recent experience as an SLPA in a school setting
• Confidence supporting students from elementary through high school age
• Familiarity with AAC devices, or eagerness to expand this skillset
• Ability to pass state fingerprinting and background check
• Previous employment with district asked during application; prior school terminations require disclosure

Principal Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services as directed by supervising SLP
• Implement therapy plans to support student communication goals
• Utilize AAC devices to meet individual needs
• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation for all students
• Collaborate with education staff and families to promote progress and inclusion
• Travel between 1-2 campuses as assigned
