We are currently seeking a Cardiology Application Support Engineer to join our team in Frisco, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Application Support Engineer (L2) to provide advanced support, administration, monitoring, and maintenance for mission-critical cardiology applications and cardiovascular information systems. The role requires expertise in cardiac diagnostic workflows, cardiology imaging platforms, device integrations, interoperability standards, and healthcare application support.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of cardiology systems supporting ECG, Electrophysiology (EP), Catheterization Labs (Cath Lab), telemetry, cardiovascular imaging, and reporting workflows. The role involves close collaboration with clinicians, application vendors, infrastructure teams, and healthcare stakeholders to support patient care operations.

Key Responsibilities

Incident & Problem Management

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve L2 incidents impacting cardiology applications and cardiovascular workflows.
• Provide timely resolution of production issues while meeting defined SLA and operational targets.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring application, integration, and data-related issues.
• Lead major incident troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors, infrastructure, and clinical teams for rapid restoration of services.
• Identify trends and implement preventive measures to improve system stability.

Application Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor the health, performance, and availability of cardiology applications and interfaces.
• Proactively monitor integrations, batch jobs, data synchronization, and device communications.
• Perform routine maintenance activities including:
  • Application health checks
  • Service monitoring
  • Performance tuning
  • Patch validation
  • Version upgrades
  • Configuration management
• Ensure system uptime and business continuity for critical cardiology workflows.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Serve as the primary liaison between clinical users, business stakeholders, IT teams, and application vendors.
• Coordinate issue escalations and resolution activities with third-party product vendors.
• Gather and document enhancement requests and support application optimization initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and support for regulated healthcare workflows and clinical operations.

Cardiology Domain Responsibilities

Cardiology Informatics & Clinical Workflow Support

• Support end-to-end cardiac diagnostic workflows including:
  • Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG)
  • Electrophysiology (EP)
  • Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab)
  • Echocardiography
  • Telemetry Monitoring
  • Remote Cardiac Monitoring
• Troubleshoot workflow issues impacting clinicians, cardiologists, and technicians.

Cardiology Imaging & Connectivity

• Support cardiology PACS and cardiovascular imaging systems.
• Manage DICOM imaging workflows, study acquisition, routing, storage, retrieval, and archiving.
• Support waveform acquisition and management across cardiology devices.
• Troubleshoot modality connectivity issues and device communication failures.
• Ensure successful ingestion and processing of data from diagnostic devices.

Integration & Interoperability

• Support integration of cardiology applications with:
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)
  • PACS
  • Device Gateways
  • Clinical Information Systems
  • Enterprise Data Repositories
• Troubleshoot:
  • DICOM communications
  • HL7 interfaces
  • Data ingestion issues
  • Study routing failures
  • Interface messaging errors

Require 5-8 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting enterprise cardiology systems in hospitals, healthcare providers, or integrated delivery networks.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $68,076 – 118,188. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
