Marine Personnel & Human Resources Manager

We are seeking an experienced  Marine Personnel & Human Resources Manager to oversee all personnel operations for our fleet. This position is responsible for marine crewing, crew scheduling, recruiting, employee relations, regulatory compliance, credential management, and HR administration.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in the maritime industry and understands vessel staffing requirements, USCG credentialing, rotation schedules, payroll coordination, and the day-to-day demands of supporting vessel crews.

This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring vessels remain fully crewed and compliant.

Marine crewing or maritime personnel experience is required. Applicants without prior maritime industry experience will not be considered.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain qualified vessel personnel.

· Manage crew scheduling and ensure vessels remain properly staffed.

· Coordinate crew changes, travel, and logistics.

· Verify and maintain MMC, TWIC, medical certificates, and other required credentials and training records.

· Prepare and issue seaman service letters

· Manage employee relations, performance issues, and HR compliance.

· Maintain personnel records, benefits, payroll documentation, and onboarding/offboarding.

· Serve as the primary HR contact for all vessel personnel.

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of marine crewing, crew management, marine HR, or vessel personnel experience

· Experience with crew scheduling and rotation schedules (14/7,28/14, etc.)

· Knowledge of USCG credentialing, MMC, TWIC, and maritime compliance

· Experience recruiting and retaining marine personnel

· Strong communication, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
