Step into a rewarding contract opportunity impacting students’ lives in a summer Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position calls for an experienced Special Education Teacher ready to support learners in either a high school GOALS classroom or an elementary essential skills setting. The assignment runs from June 1 through June 25, offering meaningful work with a focused caseload.
This rewarding role provides 25 working hours per week, Monday through Thursday, allowing you to maintain your work-life balance while making a difference. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators, facilitate targeted instruction, and support students' development during these critical weeks.
Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification in Missouri required.
- Prior experience teaching students with disabilities, especially in ESY or extended learning settings.
- Adaptability to work in either a high school GOALS classroom or an elementary essential skills environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs.
- Collaborate with support staff to implement ESY goals and strategies.
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Foster a trusting, engaging atmosphere for students with diverse needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and other team members.
