Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Available positions include one opening in a high school GOALS classroom and another working with elementary students in an Essential Skills setting. The role runs from June 1 through June 25, Monday through Thursday, for a total of 25 hours per week—offering excellent work-life balance with three-day weekends.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification for the state of Missouri
• Prior experience working with students with special needs, preferably within ESY or similar settings
• Confidence in adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learning requirements
• Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized educational lessons to students in the GOALS or Essential Skills program
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Monitor student progress and maintain data for IEP compliance and goal achievement
• Foster engagement through creative lesson planning and relationship building
• Provide encouragement and support for students’ academic and social development
