# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical / Post-Procedural) – Iowa

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with every other weekend and every other holiday rotation. Day shift options available with up to 3 Saturdays per 6-week schedule period. Facility closed Sundays. Holiday requirements assessed individually based on surgical volumes.

Highlights:

• Primarily caring for post-procedural patients with typical length of stay of 1-3 nights following surgery
• Diverse patient population including cath lab patients and occasional ER overflow as needed
• Flexible scheduling options available for both day and night shift preferences
• No Sunday shifts – facility closed on Sundays
• Holiday schedules tailored to surgical volumes, providing some predictability
• Opportunity to work with post-operative, interventional cardiology, and acute care patients

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state licensure
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Experience with post-operative care and cardiac patients a plus
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
