The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the production of innovative electric motors for data centers by managing all aspects of warehouse operations. This position oversees daily receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling across multiple sites, ensuring materials are accurately processed, tracked, and delivered to the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily UPS and FedEx parcels, sprinter van deliveries, and freight shipments, ensuring all incoming materials are processed accurately and promptly.
• Handle incoming raw materials for new builds and materials arriving from two additional sites, verifying quantities and condition upon receipt.
• Use purchase order information to perform all receiving activities, track new materials being moved to another system, and ensure items are issued and counted for accuracy.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all departments across three different sites to coordinate material flow and resolve any receiving or shipping issues.
• Manage outgoing shipments by handling packages originating from different departments and preparing them for dispatch.
• Create and build special boxes or packaging as needed to safely ship products and materials.
• Support the fulfillment team with shipping activities and load trucks or vans as required.
• Receive and accurately count all incoming material to maintain precise inventory records.
• Issue kits to the production floor for new builds, ensuring all required components are available and correctly allocated.
• Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and support year-end inventory processes.
• Make inventory adjustments in the ERP system as needed to reflect actual stock levels and resolve discrepancies.
• Use forklifts and other material handling equipment, when qualified, to move, load, and unload materials safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, following all relevant procedures and guidelines.
• Utilize computer systems, including ERP and inventory control software, to enter data, track materials, and generate reports.
• Lift, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds as part of daily warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Proven experience independently handling incoming materials and setting up outgoing shipments.
• Proficiency in Netsuite, ERP, SAP, or similar inventory and enterprise resource planning systems.
• Strong inventory management skills, including receiving, cycle counting, kitting, and inventory control.
• Ability to accurately perform cycle counts and support year-end inventory activities.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely and consistently.
• High attention to detail to ensure accurate counts, documentation, and system entries.
• Solid computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office and other standard business applications.
• Experience working as a team player with a full ownership mentality and willingness to wear different hats at work.
• Effective cross-department communication skills to coordinate activities across multiple sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is strongly preferred.
• Mechanical inclination and comfort working around industrial products and equipment.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with kitting, picking, and inventory control best practices.
• Ability to build custom boxes or packaging for specialized shipments.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Interest in learning higher-level processes such as testing, leadership, or engineering as part of career growth.

Work Environment

This role operates in a clean, air-conditioned warehouse and production environment. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rare overtime. The facility includes a well-equipped break room with free coffee, refrigerated beverages, and snacks, providing a comfortable space for breaks. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
