Role Overview

Apply your legal judgment to help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. Your analysis will inform the standards used to assess model outputs across legal research, drafting, and reasoning tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Draft motions or briefs from fact patterns and create reference answers used to evaluate model responses.
• Assess AI-generated contract and discovery work, including whether provisions accomplish their stated purpose, privilege determinations are sound, and citations support the propositions offered.
• Identify situations where a model states the law accurately but the argument would still fail because of the forum, standard of review, or underlying facts.
• Explain legal reasoning clearly in writing and flag ambiguous instructions when clarification is needed.

Qualifications

• J.D., LL.B., or LL.M., plus a current license to practice law.
• Professional experience in litigation, transactional practice, or regulatory work.
• Strong written communication and the ability to independently explain legal analysis and drafting decisions.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and raising unclear requirements.
• Relevant backgrounds may include Am Law firms, litigation or transactional boutiques, federal or state judicial clerkships, in-house counsel or compliance roles, and federal or state enforcement, regulatory, or prosecutorial offices. Recent hands-on drafting and analytical experience is more important than firm name.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly independent-contractor work.
• Project invitations are based on area of practice. Each project invitation identifies its rate, hours, and client, and project-specific selection decisions are made at that stage.
• This standing listing does not itself result in an acceptance or rejection decision. Contact may occur within a week or take several months, depending on available projects.

Compensation

Projects in this field have offered $100 to $150 per hour, with the rate determined by each project''s scope and depth.
