Transactional Attorney for AI Model Evaluation

Role Overview
Apply hands-on technology transactions experience to improve how advanced AI systems read, interpret, and negotiate commercial contracts. In this part-time contracting role you will perform redlining and simulated negotiations, evaluate AI outputs against real-world legal standards, and help build rigorous evaluation frameworks that train and refine AI legal judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises focused on technology agreements.
- Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing detailed expert feedback to improve model accuracy and risk identification.
- Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria to measure AI performance on contract tasks consistently and rigorously.
- Contribute to and refine contract redlining workflows used to train and evaluate state-of-the-art AI models.
- Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.
- Required: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Required: Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of in-house experience focused on technology transactions, with direct experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.
- Required: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical ability to translate legal judgment into actionable feedback for AI systems.
- Required: Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments, and a demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
- Preferred: Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
- Preferred: Experience at a corporate law firm in M&A or fund formation for private equity firms.
- Engagement type: Independent contractor.
- Location: Remote.
- Commitment: Part-time role.
- Pay rate: $80.00 to $105.00 per hour.
- Candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of three years in-house technology transactions experience, including negotiating MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.
