Embark on an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students with your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position begins in January and continues through June, providing invaluable coverage during a leave of absence. Located near Cicero, IL, the role is ideal for those passionate about making a lasting difference in young lives within a dynamic school setting.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) for practice as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; accepting Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric and/or school-based environments highly valued
- Proficiency with developmental, receptive, expressive, and pragmatic communication therapy
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment and therapy services for elementary-aged students with diverse speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP requirements and school goals
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and communications
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and professional development as required
