Jr. Tech Full Time Direct Cost Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, US 8 days ago Requisition ID: 1056 Vanderlande Logistics LLC is seeking an entry level mechanical and electrical technician in support of the team located in LAX to fill a Jr. Tech (Maintenance Mechanic I) role. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities as outlined. Responsibilities Performing maintenance, repair, troubleshoot, and test of the Baggage Handling System and its associated components. Provide accurate and timely written reports on safety, and operational and maintenance issues. Interpret data and suggest maintenance schedule/activity adjustments to the Manager. Ensure all Preventative and Predictive Maintenance practices and procedures are followed. General cleanup of work areas. Lifting (50-100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete the job duties. Education / Knowledge / Experience Experience: Up to two years of relevant experience. Education Required: HS Diploma or GED required. Mechanical Skills and some experience required. Maintenance workflow training (scheduling, PM tasking, work order creation), adhering to safety regulations and safe work practices. Basic skills involving organization, management, communication, computer, math, and reading schematics. Driving license with clean MVR is highly desirable. Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements. The ability to work varying 24 x 7 shifts and Holiday as determined by management. Why Join Vanderlande?
