Veterinary Receptionist

Overview Grow your veterinary career at Woodinville Animal Hospital! We are seeking a versatile, customer-focused team member to join our hospital in a hybrid Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant role. This position combines front desk client service with hands-on support to the medical team. You will welcome clients and patients, coordinate appointments, assist with patient handling and outpatient procedures, and help keep daily hospital operations running smoothly. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills and foundational veterinary assistant experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy variety in their day-to-day responsibilities. Schedule Full-time with flexible availability Monday through Saturday. While the hospital is currently open Monday through Friday, we anticipate adding Saturday hours in the future, and weekend availability will be required. Benefits Compensation: $20-24 per hour, for each hour worked Flexible compensation consideration for highly experienced veterinary assistants Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k options Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform allowance Responsibilities Greet clients and patients, manage front desk operations, and coordinate appointments Assist with patient handling, examinations, and outpatient procedures as needed Support daily hospital operations and workflow efficiency Maintain accurate financial records and process payments Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure a positive client experience Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set 2+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role 1+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred Proficiency in the following skills: Animal handling and restraint (dogs and cats) Experience with obtaining TPR and patient histories during exam room check-ins Ability to manage a multi-line phone system while assisting in-person clients Experience working with veterinary practice management software preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team Equal Opportunity We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
