The Northwest Center @ Amazon team operates in a fast-paced and demanding corporate environment where we provide professional 5-star customer service across several program divisions. The Receptionist is Amazon’s face and voice to its clients and their guests. In this role, you will provide 5-star customer service and have an obsession for customer satisfaction. As our Lead receptionists, you will lead day to day administrative activities and tasks including greeting and checking in guests, distributing badges, providing resources to callers, and assisting with projects and audits. Location: Bellevue & Redmond (flexibility to work in Seattle as needed) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:20AM – 3:50PM and 9:35AM – 6:05PM (must have open availability to work both shifts as scheduled) Wage: $29.19 per hour What we can offer Competitive and affordable Medical (including hearing & hardware coverage!), Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance 17 Accrued Paid Time Off Days Annually Additional 11 Annual Floating Holidays, Parental Leave, and Paid Compassion Leave Retirement 401(K) with a company match Company‑Provided Orca Pass – Unlimited use Employment Assistance Program (EAP) via Spring Health Mental Wellness Program including six free therapy sessions per year Opportunity for career development with our NWC Mentorship Match program Physical Wellness Reimbursement Program - $25/month Student Loan Contribution Program - $50/month Pet Insurance Discount Program Key responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day operations of the reception desks Conduct Deskside Training when needed and provide input to Business Analytics regarding continuous improvement Coach and develop to facilitate success in current role and readiness for potential growth into other roles Be attentive and provide exceptional, professional customer service to Amazonians, clients, contractors, and visitors Provide (or direct) roaming receptionist tasks Report and execute reception operations consistent with established SLAs Collaborate with peer Lead Receptionists to ensure consistency across the Reception Team Participate in Receptionist hiring Provide input to Supervisors regarding Receptionist performance Requirements Experience leading people Experience operating a front desk environment Excellent in‑person customer service skills, along with polite and professional phone etiquette Positive, upbeat attitude and able to get along with everyone Must be reliable and punctual with excellent organizational skills Must have demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities Ability to practice a high level of confidentiality Ability to maintain composure and good judgment in fast‑paced, high‑stress environments Attention to detail and accuracy High School Diploma Working Conditions & Physical demands Requires travel to several Amazon buildings so the ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 radius is required Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice, and occasional evening work Ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift Ability to work on a tablet/computer The position requires standing and mobility around the campus for long periods of time, up to the entire length of the shift Must be able to potentially lift or carry items up to 50 pounds May need to carry supplies to other buildings This is a dog‑friendly environment with over 1,000 dogs on campus.
