WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Civil Litigation Legal Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our defense attorneys through every phase of litigation. Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Draft, format, proofread, and finalize litigation documents including motions, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Prepare and coordinate service of process, including arranging service with process servers and tracking proof of service
• E-file documents in California state courts and federal courts (CM/ECF), ensuring compliance with court rules and formatting requirements
• Assist with trial preparation, including expert discovery, trial documents, binders and coordinating with court personnel
• Manage litigation deadlines using calendaring and docketing software, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
• Organize and maintain case files, litigation materials, and client documents in our document management system

The salary range for this position will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
