Description

Botanical Designs is seeking an accomplished Senior Sales Manager to lead our commercial sales organization and help shape the next phase of our company's growth. This is a team focused leadership position for a proven sales professional who knows how to develop strategic customer relationships; win significant new business; and translate sales activity into profitable, sustainable growth; and develop these skills in others. The ideal candidate has demonstrated a track record of success selling Interior and Exterior Plantscapes into Class A commercial office buildings, property management companies, REITs, corporate campuses, and other premium commercial environments. You understand how to navigate complex B2B sales cycles, build relationships with multiple decision-makers, and develop Account Managers into stronger producers. You will be responsible for sales strategy, team leadership, revenue growth, forecasting, strategic account development, new business acquisition, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing Account Management and sales team.
• Establish clear individual and team sales objectives, KPIs, activity standards, and revenue targets.
• Conduct regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Hold team members accountable while creating a culture built around results, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Accompany Account Managers on important customer and prospect meetings to provide coaching and help win strategic opportunities.
• Support team members with negotiations, difficult customer situations, renewals, and strategic account management.

Sales Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and execute an annual sales plan aligned with Botanical Designs' overall growth and profitability objectives.
• Establish sales forecasts, revenue targets, pipeline expectations, and performance metrics.
• Monitor sales performance and proactively identify actions needed to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
• Balance new business development with growth and retention of existing strategic accounts.
• Develop territory, account, and prospecting strategies that maximize market opportunity.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, commercial real estate development, and industry trends to identify new opportunities.
• Work closely with company leadership to identify opportunities for profitable growth.

Strategic Account Management

• Own and strengthen relationships with key strategic customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews with major accounts.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing properties and portfolios.
• Develop account-growth strategies for high-value customers.
• Proactively identify customer concerns and service gaps before they become retention issues.
• Ensure the sales team consistently follows up on opportunities, proposals, renewals, and customer requests.
• Develop long-term relationships rather than transactional sales.
• Help Account Managers identify opportunities to increase customer value and share of wallet.

Level Requirements

Required

• Minimum of five (5) years of account management, customer relationship management, or business development experience.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience within the landscaping, horticulture, facilities services, commercial services, or related industry.
• Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and growing existing accounts.
• Experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Horticulture, Landscape Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Aspire and/or Service Titan platform experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish
