Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of students’ mental health needs and collaborate with educators to understand academic pressures that may contribute to these needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on unique student challenges, incorporating evidence-based interventions to facilitate positive outcomes.
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, addressing various therapeutic approaches to ensure all students feel heard and supported.
• Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including school psychologists, educators, and support staff to provide holistic care.
• Educate and involve families in the treatment process, fostering their understanding and active participation in their children’s mental health journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions and progress in accordance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents who may be facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. By working closely with these young clients, you will contribute significantly to their mental, emotional, and academic well-being.

Qualifications

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling, showcasing a solid understanding of therapeutic methods and practices.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within an educational environment is strongly preferred, as this will enhance your understanding of school systems and student needs.
