Peninsula Eye Care is a family‐oriented optometry practice proudly serving the Virginia Peninsula, Middle Peninsula, and Southeastern Virginia. We are a fast‐paced private practice seeking a  Front Office Associate to join our team and help deliver exceptional patient care at our busy front desk.

Key Responsibilities

Our front desk associates play an essential role in creating a welcoming patient experience. Responsibilities include:

• Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival
• Answering a multi‐line phone system to schedule appointments, assist with questions, and order contact lenses
• Using EHR/EMR systems to verify and update patient demographics, confirm appointments, and review insurance benefits
• Checking-out patients by applying insurance benefits, posting charges, and collecting payments
• Phone triage
• Completing tasks assigned by doctors and the office manager such as scheduling referrals

Qualifications

• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems,  we provide full on‐the‐job training for any gaps in knowledge
• Previous  medical front desk experience  with related education
