Accounting Assistant

Employment Type: Full-time, Short-Term (2–6 Months) Our client is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Accounts Payable department by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and refunds. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured accounting environment. Responsibilities: Assist with Accounts Payable functions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing. Support the weekly check run process, including reconciliation and ensuring compliance with company policies. Oversee check printing and distribution while troubleshooting software and hardware issues with internal teams and external vendors. Process weekly vouchers accurately and within established deadlines. Assist with payment processing, forms control, voids, manual checks, stop payment requests, journal entries, and data entry. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred. 2–3 years of Accounts Payable experience required. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
