Role Description The Club Manager role at LA Fitness in San Marcos, CA is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing daily club operations and ensuring a positive member experience. The Club Manager leads and develops the club team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, while fostering an inclusive, results-oriented culture. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing membership sales, supporting retention initiatives, monitoring facility cleanliness and safety, and ensuring equipment is maintained and operational. The Club Manager tracks key performance metrics, manages budgets, and implements company policies and procedures to align the club with organizational standards. This role also involves engaging with members, addressing concerns promptly, and coordinating with corporate teams to support marketing promotions and community outreach. Qualifications Proven experience in fitness club, hospitality, retail, or service-oriented management, with strong leadership and team development skills. Ability to manage operations, including scheduling, budgeting, facility maintenance oversight, and compliance with health and safety standards. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, resolve issues, and promote an inclusive member environment. Sales and membership growth experience, including goal setting, performance tracking, and coaching staff to achieve revenue and retention targets. Comfort with basic technology tools (club management software, POS systems, email, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn new systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for club operations. Interest in health, fitness, and wellness, and ability to model and promote a healthy lifestyle. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, fitness management, or a related field is a plus.
