Temporary Assignment – Approximately 3 Months

Immediate Start/Paid Training

Entech Medical Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Patient Collection Representative for a temporary assignment lasting approximately three months. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work with patients regarding outstanding balances in a respectful, empathetic and professional manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform proactive follow-up on appropriate outstanding patient balances.
• Knowledge of EMR systems. Athena a plus.
• Review patient accounts to confirm balances are accurate and appropriate for collection.
• Review pending insurance issues, claims, and disputes before requesting payment from patients.
• Contact patients to explain outstanding balances, answer questions, and respectfully request payment.
• Offer approved payment arrangements and monitor patient compliance with agreed-upon terms.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection attempts, patient communications, and follow-up dates.
• Identify and route disputed or potentially incorrect balances to the appropriate department for review.
• Provide scheduled telephone backup support as needed.
• Recommend appropriate next steps in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in patient collections, medical billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion.
• Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and account documentation.
• Ability to follow established policies, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
