This position primarily operates within a remote work setting, allowing therapists the flexibility to provide care from home while maintaining connections with clients via secure telehealth platforms. The role includes occasional visits to our hospice center, where you may engage with patients and their families face-to-face, providing urgent support and intervention when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, identifying their specific needs, strengths, and treatment goals.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions, providing an empathetic and supportive environment for patients to explore their thoughts and feelings related to addiction.

• Lead group therapy sessions, employing group dynamics and peer support to foster community among individuals on similar recovery journeys.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, participating in regular case consultations and team meetings.

• Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance to individuals in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery techniques, and available community resources to empower them throughout their treatment.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending relevant trainings and workshops to stay current with best practices in substance use disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals grappling with various substance use disorders. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds, including veterans, and require tailored support systems that address both their psychological and emotional needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• At least three years of relevant experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices and a strong understanding of recovery-oriented care.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage empathetically with a diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits\n
