Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and nurture therapeutic relationships with clients to create a safe and non-judgmental environment conducive to sharing personal experiences and challenges.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to individual client needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, to facilitate behavioral change and improve outcomes.

• Employ active listening skills and empathy to validate your clients’ feelings while guiding them to explore underlying issues related to their substance use.

• Collaborate and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

• Regularly evaluate and monitor client progress, adjusting therapeutic interventions as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and peer supervision to continually hone your counseling skills and knowledge of current best practices.

Your work will primarily focus on adults seeking support for alcohol use issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State.

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a counseling or therapy setting, particularly working with substance use disorders; five years is preferred.
