Administrative Associate II (S)
This position is located at Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina. Alexander Correctional Institution is a closed custody male facility. Reporting to the Administrative Officer III, this position's primary job function will be to direct phone calls throughout the facility and will provide clerical support services to the facility. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Answering all incoming calls and direct to the appropriate areas of the facility.
- Updating all facility extension/phone list.
- Logging incoming calls.
- Processing call back requests.
- Notifying staff of offender's program and mental health appointments.
- Relaying public information to incoming callers.
- Maintaining files/records according to departmental policy, to allow for quick, easy access, and retrieval of information requested.
Salary Grade Range: $31,200.00 - $51,249.00

The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.
