Title: Pre-Award Grants Research Associate

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extending and/or with the intention of hiring permanently.

Pay rate: $35/hr - $40/hr depending on experience

Location: Fully onsite in New Brunswick during training, thereafter hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00-4:00 or 8:30-4:30.

• Organizes, coordinates, and directs activities related to Research Administration.
  Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of funding agencies policies and procedures around research funding and grants.
• Coordinates and supports department wide meetings and workshops to educate colleagues on policy changes and ramifications; enhance grantsmanship; and submit high quality funding.
• Assists PIs, the Research Office, and Finance Office with ongoing tracking and maintenance of Biosketch and Other Support pages.
• Coordinates across the Research Office, Finance Office, and faculty to ensure these documents are updated, compliant, and aligned with funder policies.
• Supports researchers in maintaining compliance with federal open access regulations through tracking and uploading publications in appropriate databases.
• Assists with the coordination and preparation of grant applications through the Research Office, under the direction of the Pre-Award Grants Manager.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus three (3) years of research and/or administrative or related experience required. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
• Previous pre-award grants experience is required
• Higher education experience is a plus.
• Supervisory and/or management responsibilities is a plus.
• So we need someone with experience submitting manuscripts, publications, abstracts, and grant submissions.
• Strong data management skills.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
