This individual will support a culture of continuous improvement to drive solutions that will reduce waste through innovation.Key Responsibilities:Launches new product and processesProvides direct engineering support to operations covering all aspects of assigned process or area of responsibilityApplies Lean Manufacturing concepts to continually improve efficiency of manufacturing processesDesigns and implements testing methodologyPrepare and maintain documentationWorks with vendors and manufacturers to design and develop products and implement a cost-effective designEngages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controllingAnalyzes designs and implements improvements to facilitate manufacture at lowest cost consistent with results desiredDesigns electrical or mechanical equipment, components, systems, instruments, and productsDefines and directs projects to identify and implement continuous yield and process improvements leading to cost effective, high quality, high yield world class manufacturing capabilitiesRelies on data collection and analysis, experience, and judgment to plan and initiate change, and accomplish goalsCoordinates manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirementsEstimates cost of labor, materials, equipment, construction, etc.Enforces standards, policies, and proceduresThis list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position and other duties may be assigned.Skills, Experience and RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
