Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Heartlight Counseling Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborating closely with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that align with their distinct needs, goals, and therapeutic preferences.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate clients’ recovery and skill development.

• Providing essential education and supportive resources to clients and their families concerning mood disorders, possible treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitoring client progress through regular check-ins and feedback loops, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs and outcomes.

• Engaging in consistent collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to deliver comprehensive, integrated care.

• Staying knowledgeable about the latest research and evidence-based practices concerning mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A valid and clear license as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• A Master's degree in the relevant field of Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work.

• A strong comprehension of California’s professional ethical standards and mental health laws.

• Ability to pass a thorough background check conducted by the FBI and DOJ.

• Proof of current TB test results (administered within the last six months).
