RN - ICU

Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15. Every other weekend required. No call requirement.

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a comprehensive stroke center, our unit specializes in managing a high volume of stroke patients, both ischemic and hemorrhagic. The ideal candidate will have strong neuro critical care experience, with capabilities in handling complex patient cases.

Manage care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, craniotomies, and other acute neurological issues.

Administer medications and blood products as required.

Monitor patients using advanced technology and instrumentation.

Perform necessary procedures including central line maintenance, EVD management, and ICP monitoring.

Maintain isolation precautions and employ proper use of PPE.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit is required.

ACLS and BCLS certifications are mandatory.

Experience with arterial line management is preferred.

Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
