Senior Scientist

Johnson & Johnson seeks an experienced Senior Scientist for their Innovative Medicine division in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The role involves leading medium- to high-complexity projects in pharmaceutical manufacturing, validation, and process improvement while applying scientific expertise to solve technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute medium- to high-complexity technical projects related to manufacturing, packaging, and validation
- Develop validation protocols and conduct technical assessments of process changes in compliance with standards
- Direct technology transfer activities and oversee process improvement initiatives from conception through implementation
- Analyze testing results, investigate deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions using root cause analysis
- Support regulatory audits and coordinate cross-functional collaboration to resolve technical issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific field
- Minimum 6 years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience; 4-6 years with advanced degree
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP, validation methodologies, and regulated manufacturing
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and scientific investigation
- Experience with project management tools and controlled documentation systems
- Excellent technical writing and cross-functional communication abilities
- Expertise in sampling, monitoring, testing techniques in regulated laboratory environments
