Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, recommend diagnostic tests, and develop individualized care plans
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, either collaboratively with physicians or independently (as per your credentials)
• Educate patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies within the scope of practice
• Engage in patient follow-up and chronic condition management
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, holistic care
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education and Certification Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Minnesota
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
