Location: Florence, Oregon

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5

Term: 58-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $132 - $142/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Florence, Oregon. These positions are 58-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:

Provide Family Medicine Primary Care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Assess newborns in the hospital immediately after birth when on call (care/assessment provided to newborns only, not the mother)

Provide care across a broad patient demographic ranging from newborns to geriatrics

See an average of 20 patients per day in the clinic setting

Perform circumcisions as a required procedure

Participate in call coverage, most likely one week per month, including weekends, sharing pediatrics and post-delivery call responsibilities

Perform both rounding and admissions for inpatient care in a 21-bed facility

Work independently, as provider may be required to work solo

Maintain active Oregon state medical license (MD/DO) at time of assignment

Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation (minimum 1 year of Epic experience required)

Provide documentation of family medicine services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months

Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements (required, no exemptions)

Complete credentialing and privileging requirements as determined by the client organization
