About the Position

We are seeking a Locum Pediatrics Physician for 24 hour call coverage in Florence, OR. The physician will provide coverage for neonatal & pediatric patients, including deliveries and newborn admissions after delivery.

Coverage is needed for 14–21 days per month , with the assignment currently approved through January 14, 2027 . The physician must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital throughout the call period. Tele neonatology support is available. 

Job Responsibilities

• Provide 24 hour call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Provide care for neonatal & pediatric patients
• Attend deliveries as needed
• Admit newborns after delivery
• Perform neonatal resuscitation when required
• Provide inpatient care and consultations
• Respond to callback needs, typically 1–2 nights per week
• Work independently with tele neonatology support available
• Remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call
• Complete required clinical documentation in EPIC

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Practice
• Active Oregon medical license required
• NRP certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Demonstrated pediatric or family medicine clinical activity within the previous 24 months
• Appropriate case logs, training logs, or quality profiles may be required for credentialing
• Oregon license is preferred for candidates seeking an expedited start
