About the Position

Take advantage of a high-demand locum tenens Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity in Florence, Oregon , featuring 24-hour call coverage and a flexible need for 14–21 days per month . This role offers meaningful inpatient pediatric and neonatal exposure, with an average of 6–7 births per month and tele-neonatology support available.

This is an excellent locum travel assignment for a physician seeking consistent coverage, diverse neonatal and pediatric cases, and the opportunity to work in a focused clinical environment. Coverage is currently approved through January 2027, with an immediate need to fill ongoing gaps.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric and neonatal care.
• Manage admissions and newborns following delivery.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for deliveries and newborn admissions.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation when required.
• Maintain availability within 30 minutes of the hospital during call.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Practice.
• Oregon medical license required; Oregon license preferred for immediate starts.
• NRP certification required.
• Demonstrated pediatric or family medicine clinical activity within the previous 24 months, as applicable.
• Epic EMR experience.

Working Hours

• 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM.
• 14–21 days of coverage per month.
• Unrestricted call for deliveries and newborn admissions.
• Physician must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call.
• Current approval through January 14, 2027.
