Job Description

Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Location: Florence, Oregon
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 58-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $132 - $142/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Florence, Oregon. These positions are 58-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:
• Provide Family Medicine Primary Care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Assess and evaluate newborns in the hospital immediately after birth (when on call)
• Provide care and assessment to newborns in the hospital and/or clinic setting (no obstetric-focused medical or surgical care before, during, or after pregnancy)
• See an average of 20 patients per day in the clinic setting across patient demographics ranging from newborns to geriatrics
• Perform rounding and admissions for inpatient care in a 21-bed facility
• Perform circumcisions (no longer required as of 8/31/26)
• Cover call schedule, most likely one week per month, including weekends, sharing pediatrics and post-delivery call (pediatrics call no longer required as of 8/31/26)
• Support 3-7 newborn deliveries per month in collaboration with OBGYN and available nursing and respiratory therapy staff
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation (minimum 1 year of Epic experience required)
• Maintain active Oregon medical license (MD/DO) prior to start
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Provide documentation of family medicine services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
• Work independently as a solo provider when required
• Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements (required, no exemptions)
• Complete required compliance documentation and credentialing requirements
