Human Resources Specialist (Employee Benefits)

Job Title
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
- Develops and implements agency-wide guidance, methods, and procedures for various employee benefit and services programs.
- Performs assignments based on the analysis of operational effects of changes in laws or regulations governing employee benefits, drawing conclusions and proposing appropriate courses of action.
- Provides technical advice and guidance to employees, supervisors, and management on a range of employee benefits, services, and work-life programs, including representing management in third-party hearings.
- Applies fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving techniques to address and resolve a variety of conventional issues and problems related to employee benefits.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with employees and management to gain cooperation on difficult issues, and prepares and presents findings and guidance on sensitive actions.
