National Sales Director, North America - Laboratory Equipment

Job Description

I'm partnering with a rapidly growing global organisation specialising in Life Science and Laboratory Equipment. The business provides equipment sourcing, resale, refurbishment and lifecycle management solutions to leading Biotech, Biopharma, CDMO and research organisations across North America.

As part of its continued expansion, the company is seeking an experienced National Sales Director to lead its North American direct sales organisation, overseeing approximately $70M in annual revenue and a team of 12 sales professionals. This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity focused on driving profitable revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships and expanding both capital equipment and aftermarket services revenue.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a national sales team of approximately 12 professionals across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
\n
• Take ownership of approximately $70M in annual gross sales, driving revenue growth, profitability and market expansion.
\n
• Develop and execute national sales strategies across laboratory equipment, bioprocessing technologies and associated services.
\n
• Build and strengthen strategic relationships with Biopharma, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, CRO and CDMO customers.
\n
• Drive growth across equipment sales, service contracts, refurbishment, repairs and preventive maintenance.
\n
• Manage commercial performance, sales forecasting, pipeline development and CRM effectiveness.
\n
• Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing sales organisation while working closely with global commercial leadership.

Requirements

\n
• 5+ years of sales leadership experience within Life Sciences, Laboratory Equipment, Diagnostics markets.
\n
• Proven experience managing multi-territory or national sales teams with significant revenue responsibility.
\n
• Strong background in capital equipment sales, ideally combined with aftermarket services, maintenance or service contracts.
\n
• Established relationships across Biopharma, Biotech, CDMO and Pharmaceutical end-user markets.
\n
• Demonstrated success driving profitable growth, developing commercial teams and managing strategic accounts.
\n
• Strong commercial leadership, forecasting and Salesforce CRM experience.
\n
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% across North America.
\n
